[HCDX] AM LOGS

Russia, 5960, Radiostantsiya Tikhiy Okean, 0935-1000 With a opening ID by a male,
music is immediately presented. Following one tune, a male and female in
Russian Language comments. This format continues for a few munutes but seems
they had problems and went off the air by 0949. (Chuck Bolland, November 20, 2007)

Brazil, 5990, Radio Senado, 0955-1000 Noted a male in Portuguese comments. Mentions
the word "... en Brazilia ..." a few times. On the hour, canned ID then more comments.
Signal was poor to fair depending on the splatter on the freq. (Chuck Bolland, November 20,
2007)

Malaysia, 6049.65, RT Malaysia, 1001-1010, Initially noted a male in news and comments.
At this time the signal is not faded in enough for clear readablity. It is just below the
noise. At 1005 after the news is finished, brief music and then more comments.
(Chuck Bolland, November 20, 2007)

Taiwan, 6085, Radio Taiwan International, (pres)1010-1030 Noted a broadcast of
Mandarin comments from a male and female. Checked a few of the freqs where
this was suppose to be in parallel and believe both 9415 and 6150 were active.
9415 KHz seemed to be particularly simular. Since the signal on 6085 was
partly covered by WYFR, it was difficult to comfirm anything. At 1027, fanfare
or martial type music heard and this was on 9415 KHz also. (Chuck Bolland,
November 20, 2007)

China, 6090, Central People's Broadcasting Station, 1030-1040 With a
single woman in Chinese comments and news. Comments from the
individuals in the field noted. Signal was fair. (Chuck Bolland,
November 20, 2007)

Russia, 6095, Voice of Russia, 1000-1100 Although I didn't hear the opening remarks, this
schedule of the Korean language broadcast is from 10 to 11 hours. With a female and male
in Korean comments and many cut aways for Russian comments. Noted a parallel
program on 5920 KHz. I want to mention that this freq is being relayed by a site
in Irkutsk, Siberia according to Passport, but the WRTH says it's St Petersburg.
The 5920 freq broadcast is suppose to be relayed by a site in Petropavlovsk
according to the WRTH but Passport says Irkutsk again. EiBi B07 says both
freqs are being relayed via Irkutsk, Siberia. So there's a number of choices. Both signals
were good. (Chuck Bolland, November 20, 2007)
