TEHRAN, Feb.5 (ISNA)-Iran and Azerbaijan signed letters of 
agreement on radio-television and media technology ties.

The terms of this agreement mostly concentrated on means of 
cooperation in improvement of TV and Radio programming quality, 
regulation and coordination of the broadcasting.

In conferring with Azerbaijan's communications and information 
technology minister, Iran's radio & television organization chief, 
Ezzatollah Zarghami stated that his 4 day trip to Baku concentrated on 
introducing the potentials of Iran's radio and television organization and 
perspectives of mutual future ties between both countries.

"With the annual production of at least 200 films and 50 TV shows, Iran 
has is capable of maintaining a good amount of bilateral ties," said 
Zarghami.

Also before signing the contract, Zarghami was aired on Azerbaijan's 
Television channel in an interview where he responded to the questions 
stated by the host.

"Some of the Iran-Azerbaijan agreement terms are in technical and 
mechanical fields and another part which I believe needs more 
attention concentrates on media production. The Islamic Republic of 
Iran will take the necessary steps in these terms," said Zarghami.
