Pirate, 6925, Unid, 0149-0200 In UpperSideband, noted a male singing a song
asking
if anyone could hear him, following the tune, "Working On the Railroad".
Some kind of
sound effects follow. At 0156 an ID by a woman as, "This is Radio ...
International".
Someone comes up repeating the phrase, "how do you know I said that?". At
0157,
news given in English with humor mixed in. Nothing heard after 0200.
Signal was poor.
(Chuck Bolland, March 24, 2008)
Iran, 6065.00, Voice of the Islamic Republic, (presumed) 0207-0230, At first
noted a male in Arabic type language comments until 0210. At that time
Islamic type singing commences by a male. Judging from the length and its'
solemn nature, it must be religious. At 0227
a female talks. Fanfare/Choral music at 0230. Gives URL at 0235 with ID,
but can't copy
them with splatter and background music. More religious singing at 0237.
Signal was
fair but difficult to copy details. (Chuck Bolland, March 24, 2008)
Unid, 4990, 0240-0300 Signal was not solid, but periodically faded in with
music and
maybe some comments. There's a number of stations possible on this
frequency at this
time, although Peru's Radio Manatial was the station I was hoping to hear.
Signal was
threshold when heard. (Chuck Bolland, March 24, 2008)
Madagascar, 5010.20, RTV Malagasy, 0255-0305, Tuned in while African Hilife
music was being presented. At 0303 a male comments briefly and then back to
music.
Signal was fair but with too much fading. Canned ID was heard at 03:04 as,
"Radio Malagasy" by a man. This was followed with a female in English
comments. (Chuck Bolland,
