Bolivia, 5996.39, Radio Loyola, 1010-1020, Initially noted a male in Spanish comments which
included a live ID, "... Radio Loyola ...". During this time, remote reports were featured, indicating
this was a news program. Compared to previous loggings, the condx this morning seemed to
be better than usual. Loyola's signal was fair today. (Chuck Bolland, January 7, 2008)
Bolivia, 6079.95, Radio San Gabriel, 1020-1035 At tune in, noted steady local type music. At
1028 a female comments in Spanish until 1030 when canned promos or ADs presented. This
continues until 1032 when the female comes back live with comments and gives ID as, "...
Radio San Gabriel ...". This is followed with more music. Signal was fair at times, but
overall poor. Without a very narrow filter, it would be almost impossible to hear this
station due to the crowded frequency - using 180 Hertz. (Chuck Bolland, January 7, 2008)
Peru, 6173.83, Radio Tawantinsuyo, 1038-1045 Noted Huaynos music at tune in. The music
continues during the period. Signal was threshold. Just for continuity. (Chuck Bolland, January 7, 2008)
Peru, 5939.27, Radio Melodia,(pres) 1050-1100 Only fading in periodically, noted a male in Spanish
comments. Splatter from station on 5935 KHz drowns Melodia out easily. No ID heard
for Melodia. Signal was threshold when heard. (Chuck Bolland, Janaury 7, 2008
