[HCDX] re Clandestines on 17850 and 17630 kHz
FRANCE [to ETHIOPIA/SOMALIA/HoA] 17630 from 1600 UT on April 15. On
Tues/Sats service only, mentioned in Aoki/Nagoya frequency list as "Radio
Xoriyo Ogaden" in Somali language via Issoudun bcasting center.
Signal strength here in Germany as -55dBm or S=9+20dB on SDR rx unit.
Brokered by OGM / MBR Media Broadcast Cologne, Germany.
Mentioned often Syria politics matter ...
Just after program start at 1600 UT, the accompanied HoA jammer on broadband
scratchy digital noise audio started in range 17625.7 to 17634.5 kHz range,
even in peaks up to 17619 - 17641 kHz wideband range jamming.

FRANCE [to ETHIOPIA] 17850 Clandestine Raadiyoo Sagalee Oromoo - Radio
Voice Oromo - via Issoudun France relay site. Signal on at 1559:49 UT and
program start at 1600:10 UT with lively HoA music and W announcer with
opening ID announcement. Then announcement by different fast-paced W,
dramatic music very briefly and talk by M announcer. 1605 UT HoA music
briefly and M announcer with ID, and more talk mixed with occas. HoA music.
Nothing but talk after 1610. Audio cut off right at 1630 UT and signal gone
seconds later. Fair and clear. 29 March.
