BBC 3390

During Day 1 of a 3 day listening weekend with some other CIDX club
members, during very disturbed conditions (brilliant auroura outside) I
noted weak BBC I/S on 3390 at 0430 Oct 7. Is this via South Africa??
BBC on 3255 was quite weak, but Zimbabwe on 3306 and 3396 was quite good, 
as was Namibia on 3270 and 3290. 
Other signals heard, outside the ordinary, were the Bolivians on 4450, 
4682.3, and 4600 from 0200 to 0230.
Weak audio on 6240.3 around 0200 UTC - any ideas?? Satelite 6726.5 was in 
nicely at this time.

Equipment: Yaesu FT-1000
Antenna: 4-30 mhz rotatable log periodic, 92 feet high
         11 beverages in various directions, 700 - 2600 feet long
