I did a quick Mini-DXpedition trip to the Rowley, MA saltmarsh on the
evening of 2 JUL 1996 (UTC: 3 JUL). Conditions were somewhat short-
skip dominated, but some common European and North African signals
were in at fair to good levels. A full report will be issued in
a few days. One interesting thing I noted was a good-strength open
carrier on 764.0 (not 765) at UTC: 0024 / 3 JUL. I'm going to guess
that this was probably Dakar, Senegal with some sort of technical
problem. This would be a good frequency to watch; maybe someone
can catch this with some meaningful audio to solve the mystery.
