Local WCBS (880 kHz New York) on rare silent period this morning, July 8.

Mundial 8-80, Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela (YVYM) dominant with uptempo Spanish
music, many "Ocho-ochenta" and "Mundial" IDs at 0537 UTC.

R. Paraguana, Punto Fijo, Venezuela occasionally audible underneath with more
ballad-like music, definite Paraguana ID at 0622.

WCBS still off at present time (0635). WFAN-660, which shares a transmitter with
WCBS, is still on the air with regular programming.
