anthem, then man in FF mentioned Senegal; dominant at the time but

1179 GREECE, Thessaloniki (t), FEB 22 2353 - Greek male vocal
& bouzouki accompaniment to STRONG peak o/ Spain-Canaries. This
was a real surprise. The signal was very good at 2358. At the
top of the hour, the music went to talk that sounded Greek. By
then co-channel QRM from the SER stations and adjacent slop from
WHAM had worsened. The strong signals noted from nearby areas
such as Turkey, Syria, and Egypt indicated that the propagation
was viable for Greece to override the more common 1179 stations.
