That depends. If you really want full performance, I think a pre-selector is a
useful tool (even with the AR-7030). I have encountered slight overloading, the
effects of which were noticable in empty bands around sunset. I have the T2FD
and MK-1 antennae from RF-Systems and I use the Lowe PR-150 to get rid of these
unwanted signals.
