One might hold the opinion that anyone on the Net should know how to
handle Base64 encoding and/or use a program that will do it
automatically.

Still, this is not a particular smart standpoint, as it will in real
life give a lot of extra work to a lot of interested readers.

So, if your aim is to reach your fellow DXers, it would make a lot
more sense using plain ASCII text, which is the common standard that
everybody can handle without hassles.
