Hello everyone,

Not being able to sleep also has its advantages: hearing Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands within half an hour is something many of us can only dream about.

I'm still dreaming about my next communications receiver, but luckily I can also get The Investment Channel in Taiwan now, so there is hope :-)

China 

15190 CNR 1 0243-0248 SINPO: 55445; Lang: Mandarin; Program about nutrition. //9340, 15390 kHz. Unlisted frequency. (Apr 18, Boogert)  	

9845 CNR 1 0204-0230* SINPO: 55333; Lang: Mandarin; News. 1010 string of ads for wine, cosmetics, medicine. 0215 show kindergarten kids. //9530, 9340, 9290 kHz. Unlisted frequency. (Apr 18, Boogert)  	

Philippines 

15210 Radio Pilipinas 0234-0248 SINPO: 55444; Lang: English; Program called "Voice of Democracy", but just featured a press conference by Fidel Ramos. //11885, 15270 kHz, all with a hum in the signal. (Apr 18, Boogert)  	

Solomon Islands 

5020 Solomon Islands Broadcasting Service 1931-1945 SINPO: fair; Lang: Pidgin English; Community news in English mentioning "...next to the pear here in Honiara." Also mentions of Western Samoa and Fiji. 1939 music. Niger with its typical African guitars underneath. (Apr 18, Boogert)  	

South Africa 

9475 The Investment Channel 1950-2000 SINPO: 32232; Lang: English; Non stop tips on investment, but sounded more like infomercials. Address in Liechtenstein. Beeps in between the items. //7225 about the same strenght. (Apr 18, Boogert)  	

Vanuatu 

3945 Radio Vanuatu 1915-1931 SINPO: fair; Lang: Pidgin English; Nice mix of local and C&W music with DJ with TC in between "....after six." 1929 some kind of public service announcement in which Vanuatu was mentioned. Faded rapidly afterwards. (Apr 18, Boogert)
