Attn Grey-Liners:

4ZF Te Anau, Fiordland 612kHz 400w is end.

In a news-paper clipping sent to me by Eric McIntosh, the Radio Network
Southern Operations Ditrector confirmed that 4ZF would close down. The service
to the Te Anau Basin was available on FM and AM and the latter didn't provide
as good coverage as it's FM counterpart. 4ZF went to air in the early 80's and
did have brief local news coverage. No date has been given for the close.

Reception on 4ZF is very difficult any where else but Te Anau as Radio Rhema
in Christchurch occupies the frequency.

73s Paul
