		VOLUME SIXTEEN - NUMBER THREE

APRIL 19th 1998

Hi there fellow friends in Radio

This weeks edition is a lot smaller than normal due to the fact that the
only items received this past week that can be used are below.

If you know af "ANY" free radio activity / news that others may wish to
share in PLEASE Email it to us for inclusion in future editions of the
KRW. - Thanks.

I have tried to attach some QSL cards from New Zealand Free Radio, but
may be having some trouble, so hopefully they will come out OK for you..

Until next week, here is what news we have:

			***********************

RADIO FREE LONDON 5805kHz this weekend,
with our regular 3rd Sunday broadcast.

 The line-up:

Eric May (the latest Indie release's)

 Andy Walker's "Free Radio Show"
(free radio news, rare records and old
recordings from the heyday of pirate radio)

Dave Double-Decks (the man in leather trousers)

Tony Randall (more "over the top" high camp fun)

 -------------------------------------------

Short wave conditions seem to be better in the late
afternoon and into the evening. Check out 5805 at
these times, and you could find the signal is better
then, than it is during the day.

			EURO - TX 3.0 SOFTWARE:

- EURO-TX is THE ShortWave Broadcast Transmissions to EUROPE database
for Radio Listening Amateurs.
The EURO-TX programme contains
information on shortwave broadcasts to EUROPE in various languages
(Danish, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Finnish, French, German, Greek,
Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and
Swedish). With the programme you can make complete sorted listings in
country, language, station and/or transmission-time order; just choose
the appropriate settings and the programme will display the list in
any way you want. An 'On The Air' button will display all stations
which are on the air at the moment you press the button. A
comprehensive search option is available to search for whatever you
like; a station, country, frequency, transmission time, or any
combination of these. Furthermore it is also possible to display an
ITU country list (237 records), a stations address list, a stations
Internet address list, HF-bands list, UTC time table (237 records) and
a DX-programme list. At the moment the database contains transmission
details of 127 stations in 74 countries. The address lists contain 116
Internet addresses and 231 'normal' addresses. Finally, DX-programme
transmission details of 34 different stations are available. The Main
Database Table has 1082 records (variable, due to daily updates) in
which Country, Station, Transmission Time, Language, Frequencies and
Remarks are listed. All data can be displayed on screen as well as on
a printer. It is NOT possible to change any of the data in the
database but you will receive the LATEST available database-file
(updated on a DAILY bases with information from many well-known
sources, of which much info comes directly from the stations
themselfes), with the registered version of the software. The
programme and the latest database are put on floppy when you order the
programme, so you will always receive the latest data available.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
Computer: IBM-compatible AT(tm) 386, 486 or Pentium
Diskdrive: Programme is distributed on a 1.44 MB floppy.
Harddisk space for installation is about 2.5 MB.
Memory (extended): 4 MB or more ...
Operating system: Windows 3.1/3.11 or Windows '95 (+ mouse).
Monitor: (S)VGA (640*480 or better ...).
Recommended hardware: 486 or Pentium, 4 MB (or more) Extended Memory.
NOTES:
The programme was tested on a 386 40MHz, a 486DX2 66MHz and a Pentium
75MHz computer and a colour (S)VGA monitor in various resolutions.
It might also work using other screens (as yet, has not been tested).
The programme is NOT SOLD/DISTRIBUTED in the months of MARCH and
OCTOBER, due to the many changes which will be implemented by many radio
stations at the end of these months. These months are used to completely
update all data in the database. Other changes will be implemented on a
DAILY bases.
LATEST SOFTWARE UPDATE (12th November 1997 - EURO-TX v3.0)
- Fixed a small bug in some of the sorting routines.
- Modified database security.
- Made some minor modifications to a few tables in the database.

- Added an option to see your own registration details.
- Choosing for a list of DX-programmes will now result in two
different lists, eg. the general list of DX-programmes as well
as a list of all stations concerned, including frequency
   information, in another grid.
- Made some modifications to the 'screen layout' and adjusted
   some text and colors.
- Replaced the startup screen with a new picture.
- Made some other minor internal programming adjustments.
