[HCDX]: Radio Cavell RSL on air tonight

NEWS RELEASE FOR RSL HUNTERS:
=============================
The Radio Cavell RSL broadcast will commence at midnight local
time tonight (2300 UTC), and will finish at 2400 local (2300 UTC) on
Sunday. The broadcast, which will go out on 1566 kHz, will contain
24 hours a day of original programming - an overnight sustaining service
will *NOT* be used this time.

You should hear plenty of Station IDs, and hopefully have a good
chance of hearing us if propagation conditions and short daylight hours
permit. In the UK at the moment darkness lasts from around 2200 UTC to
0300 UTC, so the period from just before till just after that may be best
time for overseas members to listen. Information about the station can be
also be found on the Internet at: http://www.poboxes.com/radio

Reception reports should preferably be sent direct to me at my
home address. I don't visit the station too frequently these days, so
reports sent via the station address which arrive after the broadcast
has ended may take some time to reach me. No need to send envelopes,
but a UK stamp or one IRC for return postage would be much appreciated.
Reports or queries regarding the transmission can also be e-mailed to
me at the above address as well.

	Postal address for reports is:

	Alan Gale,
 	4 Waingap Crescent,
	Whitworth, Rochdale,
	Lancs OL12 8PX,
	England.

The TX has been tested and is working well, so I hope you're all
able to catch this special 'one off' broadcast, which is on air to help
celebrate the 50th anniversary of the creation of the National Health
Service. All correct reports will receive our special QSL, but please
note - bogus report senders such as our friend Mr Bellabarba will find
their reports quickly filed away in the rubbish bin! ;-)

Good luck and good propagation to all RSL hunters.

		73 for now, Alan.

PS	Before anyone asks, the name Cavell is taken from Dame Edith Cavell
a famous First World War nurse.
