FROM THE EDITOR - Just few tips of mine: next November 1st - 8th, I 'll
be again in northern Italy for the second week of a professional crash
course, with final examination. Next TFW issue will be issued within the
second week of November, if new Italia On Line Client will be OK ! I
just contacted my cousin Claudio (a PC  programmer),  hoping again of
his patience, because I need 100 x 100 of his help for changing the
Client program.  Without his help, TFW On Line never existed !    Gianni

signals at first from 1900, improving slightly between 1935 and 2005, 
then sinking into the mud...nowhere like as strong as last year and JUST

comments with TC, and ID's. After a few minutes into musci. Signal was

1008- 4964.7- PERU- Radio La Merced, (Tentative) 4964.7 1008-1030 Noted
a man in comments and this followed with Huaynos music. Plenty of
comments, but couldn't catch ID. Signal was poor. (Bolland,  USA

1014- 6249.88- PERU- LV de Andahuaylas (tent. ??) 1014-1026+, OA folk mx
at t/in, then nothing but nonstop tlk by M from 1016-1026 t/out. 
Definitely sounds like an OA but not close enough to IDable lvl.  QRMed

comments, with ID as, "Esta es Radio Imagen". TC's between tunes. Signal

Sorocucho, Pvcia de Celendin, Dpto de Cajamarca. ¨5 de la madrugada con
20 minutos la hora que te informa tu nueva Radio Sorocucho, ahora amigos
con la mejor musica en esta manana, hoy domingo 25 de octubre del ano
1998...¨ ¨En la Radio Sorocucho la buena radio , la radio en la onda
corta en los 5305 Khz...¨ Noted nominal frequency 5305 Khz, maybe that
station is the reported by TIN in NU. Not listen adresse, after 1100
poor signal (Rodriguez, Colombia)

1156 M anncr welcomed all SWLs to the show who were listening "outside
the nations capital".  1200 M w/full ID and TC.  First time to hear this

1043- 4748.29- PERU- Radio Huanta Dos Mil 1043-1100 Noted a man in
Spanish comments. Many mentions of "Peru". For a few moments a woman
comments, then man returns. Signal was fair. (Bolland,  USA October 28,

1050- 3339.96- PERU- Radio Altura 1050-1100 Noted a woman in Spanish
comments. Signal was fair, but fades to almost nothing by 1052.

1100- 4890- PAPUA NEW GUINEA- NBC  first time heard in a long time @
1100.  An equipment failure?  ID, news and px of US Pops. What was 
interesting was a series of ads which aired at 1130.  The NBC were
advertising for applicants to fill vacancies at the various regional
broadcasting stations.   I heard an ad for personnel for Radio Central
and Eastern Highlands. (Rippel, USA 10/20)

1120- 6674.8- PERU- RADIO IMPACTO. 1120-1200 Oct.25, React. freq. with
new name Radio Impacto, ex- Radio Ondas del Rio Maranon. QTH is Jiron
Amazonas No. 315 in Aramango, Pvcia de Bagua, Dpto de Amazonas, Peru.
Pgm: Variando los exitos. with  Los Chaskis del Peru and El Comunero de
los Andes. TC: ¨Atraves de la Radio Impacto 6 de la manana con 25
minutos, 6 de la manana con 25 minutos en todo el territorio peruano...¨
ID: ¨ Somos desde Aramanago Radio Impacto desde el Jiron Amazonas No.
315, en los 6675 Khz banda internacional de 49 metros...¨ (Rodriguez,

1220- 9675- PAPUA NEW GUINEA- NBC  1220-1300  Male announcer in EG with
"Friday Evening Music" program. Mostly Island style chorals with  a few
CW tunes. Gave weekend schedule for sports program. Several ID's as
"Karai National Radio, the voice of PNG in the Pacific". NBC ID at 1300.
