KKTR is still traffic as of this morning so it was not them. It's possible maybe this was KDNZ-1250 Cedar Falls, Iowa now on the air or testing (they are scheduled to be on the air in January, perhaps doing some testing?, loop bearing seems about right). Here is a current listing of all stations in the Western Hemisphere either on 1650 or scheduled to come on 1650, per Bill Harms' expanded band website. There's a station also listed in Portsmouth, VA. as well as Salisbury, MD. KAZT is the X-band station scheduled for KGNT-600 (KNRO) but they are not on as far as I know...
