Re: [HCDX]: Acronyms [was: 6550U RCI etc.]

Hi everyone,

I just want to make a short remark about the use of acronyms on this list.

It took me quite a while to figure out what "CRI" stood for.

I feel acronyms should be used only for stations in English-speaking
countries. "RCI" or "BBC" okay, everyone will understand, even those whose
native tongue isn't English.

But for us French-speakers what you call "CRI" is precisely known as "RCI",
since this is the acronym used in French and I guess in other cultural
environments there will be some others. I for one have never listened to
"CRI" in English, when I listen to them it's always in the French version
so this acronym came as a completely new one to me.

Don't you guys out there imagine the whole world speaks English! I doesn't!
And never will!
