FROM THE EDITOR- About the "naughty" sun...very poor conditions for Latin American and African Stations on tropical bands. I tried for monitoring some African radios just  three-four evening ago here in Roma (around 1700- 1900 UTC), but tuned Madagascar on 5009.56 with fair signal only. Instead of usual Africans, such as Radio Nigeria, Kenya  etc., heard a strong rustle QRN only. Also nothing of good for Latin America at early morning last January 16  (around 0300-0400 UTC): no signal from usual strong Radio Tachira on 4830 kHz and Ecos del Torbes on 4980 kHz ! Just few tips of mine, because I am working for some WWWeb pages of mine (in Italian only)  to attract Italian people  toward  SW Radiolistening.  Gianni
