Re: [HCDX]: "X-Band" NDBs

OK -- all this talk of NDBs in the x-band brought up a memory.

We've been hearing a beacon:
1740 Beacon? MCW "IS1HT" still heard well evenings in Central
North America (Ontario through Iowa at least)
since 1996 or so. FAR too strong and regular to be a fishing
net locator as was hypothesized earlier -- could this too
be an airport or lighthouse beacon from the Carribean?

Is there a definitive source for this kind of info?

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! //kv zichi
