0001- 5018,8- PERU- Radio Horizonte, Chachapoyas, 00:01-00:12 UTC,
programme "Nuestros recuerdos musicales", time, ID´s, 2.3.4.3.2 (Slaen,
Argentina march 14)

0002- 9595.1- URUGUAY- R. Monte Carlo 0002 News in Spanish by two men
alternating items; fanfare and ID at 0007. Weak but fairly readable in
USB to avoid QRM from presumed Netherlands on 9590. The 9650 Uruguayan
was also in at about the same level but in the clear. (Hill, USA Mar.
13)

0015- 6797,7- PERU- Ondas del Rio Mayo, Cajamarca, 00:15 UTC, messages
for Jaen, advs of Nueva Cajamarca, ID, 3.3.4.3.3 (Slaen, Argentina March
14)

0020- 4880- BANGLADESH- R. Bangladesh 0020 Test tone ending at 0026
followed by many iterations of IS on flute and tanpura. At *0030,
muffled announcement by deep-voiced man and into Qur'an. Fair strength,
thanks to excellent subcontinental opening this evening. At tune-in, I
thought I had AIR, Lucknow, as Dhaka's normal s/on time is scheduled for
0000 unless something has recently changed. (Hill, USA Mar. 15)

0020- 15820- ARGENTINA- LS5 Radio Rivadavia, Buenos Aires, // 630 khz,
(LSB mode), 00:20-00:30 UTC, soccer transmission from San Salvador de
Jujuy (match Gimnasia vs. Boca Juniors), 2.4.5.4..2 (Slaen, Argentina
march 14)

0025- 11860- INDONESIA- RRI Jakarta 0025 Lagu2 and announcements in Indo
by woman // 15125.1; badly squeezed between RCI and WYFR. Later the same
day at 2258 with a horribly wobbly tape of "SCI" till 2300, when pips
and into network news, again // 15125.1. This is Programa Satu, per
Asian DXers. (Hill, USA Mar. 13)

0030- 5077,2- COLOMBIA- Caracol, Bogota, 00:30 UTC, bulletin news with
reports from different stations of Caracol (Valledupar, Cali,
Cartagena), 4.4.3.3.3 (Slaen, Argentina march 14)

0038- 5020- SRI LANKA- SLBC Tamil Service 0038 Tentatively this one with
man in what at first sounded like English but was definitely
subcontinental tongue by 0049. Woman joined in at 0052, followed by some
kind of vocal offering. Nothing readable across the hour, then man
again. Weak and hammered by terrible QRN, which spoiled the excellent
subcontinental opening this evening. At the same time, SLBC carrier on
4902 was in at equal level, and something was on 4870 with a choppier
fading pattern. (Hill, USA Mar. 15)

0050- 3365- BRAZIL- Radio Cultura, Araraquara, 00:50-01:02 UTC, sports
programme, commentary about the national basketball championship,
2.4.4.4.2 (Slaen, Argentina march 14)

0112- 4950- INDIA- AIR, Srinagar, Kashmir, 0112 Test tone ending at
0118, then IS till short announcement at *0120 followed by "Vande
Mataram" chorus. At 0122, into what I'd call Tibetan- or Nepali-style
instrumental featuring what sounded like a woodwind instrument.
Co-channel presumed Angola, which had been underneath at tune-in, soon
began to mix and finally dominate by 0125, although AIR could still be
heard with woman in subcontinental language. This is probably the first
time I've logged Srinagar in at least 30 years, when it was on 3277.
(Hill, USA Mar. 15)

0129- 9810- INDIA- AIR External Service 0129 New freq with IS, then s/on
in language by man and later woman. Both Nepali and Tibetan are
scheduled for *0130, but Tibetan is tonal and this tongue was nontonal,
so it was most likely Nepali. Very poor; no //s could be found. (Hill,
USA Mar. 18)

0136- 11975.1- PAKISTAN- R. Pakistan 0136 Dialog in Urdu between two
men; into Qur'an at 0140. Poor/fair here; // 15485 was impressively
strong but had transmitter troubles, cutting off and on and finally
jumping to 15486.7. (Hill, USA Mar. 14)

0204- 15285- CHINA PR- CPBS-1 0204 New/unlisted channel observed with
presumed network news by man and woman in Chinese // 15500; poor. (Hill,
USA Mar. 14)

0326- 4789.4- SAUDI ARABIA- BSKSA 0326 Subharmonic of 9578.8 with Qur'an
till 0330, then faint male voice. Considerably better here than on the
fundamental, which was getting clobbered by VOA on 9575. (Hill, USA Mar.
20)

0500- 6010,2- BRAZIL- Radio Inconfidencia, Belo Horizonte, 05:00-05:12
UTC, brasilena music programme, 2.4.4.3.2 (Slaen, Argentina march 14)

0700- 6185- MEXICO- Radio Educacion, Ciudad de Mexico, 07:00-07:15 UTC,

14)
