Re: [HCDX]: International Morse Code

Hello Richard!

Every language that has got special characters not found in English has also
got a Morse character for that letter. For example, in Sweden we've got three
letters in the alphabet after Z:

A with a ring over the A is transmitted as .--.- (one short, two long, one
short, one long)
A with two dots over the A is transmitted as .-.- (one dot, one long, one dot,
one long)
and finally O with two dots over the O: ---. (three long, one short)

You do not find these three Morse letters in the English CW language, but may
find
them in some other language - then meaning something else.

That is why radio amateurs always use the international Morse characters, and
only use the special domestic letters while exchanging messages within that
particular country.

Hope this helped -
