[Bob Foxworth]  There is an ISO standard on how to write the date, and under
it, today's date would appear as 19991108, it sorts correctly always (year,
then month, finally day), it is y2k compliant, and most importantly
eliminates the month/day ambiguity when both fields are 12 or less, e.g. is
this 8th November, or August 11th. Computer programmers have known and done
this for years because of the need to sort logically on date fields.  Feel
free to forward this comment to the people who compose this list.....
