You may be on the right track, Guido.

Unfortunately I don´t know on what hilltop (if any) their txer
is located. I suppose this info would be on their QSL-card,
but I haven´t even bothered to send them a report.

Perhaps someone else could help us?

Incidentally, during my 6-year stay in Colombia, I never noticed
any mixup of this kind on 5000 kHz, and I used to check the 60
metre band almost daily.
