[HCDX]: Internet/Thailand

Hello friends,

in February I will stay in Thailand for 3 weeks. I would like to have
access to the internet, a laptop with modem will be available.

Are there any Internet Cafes where it is allowed to use a laptop of one's
own? Usually those cafes only allow to send or to receive Emails, but I
need data transfer to my own computer as well as ftp.

As usual, I will not book any accomodation in advance, so I do not know
exactly which places I am going to visit beneath Bangkok.

Thanks for any hints...
And - yes, I'll take a receiver with me too ;-)
