For eastern North American DXers enjoying a
clear 740 channel, beware...there are other broadcasters in Toronto licking
their chops at a 50 kw clear channel.
Infinity Broadcasting is one of several
applications for CBL's vacated 740 frequency. Proposed format is
multi-ethnic. Infinity's propsal to the CRTC is at http://www.infinitycanada.com/
Another Toronto ethnic station CHKT-1430 is also applying for 740, but only if
their application for 93.5 (Toronto's one remaining FM channel) is
rejected.
