During skip conditions around 1900 Z on March 18
I heard religious programming on several frequencies below 27 MHz. At
least 6-7 frequencies were monitored, all with separate programming.
They seemed to emerge from a British anglican service. Could these be feeder
stations of some kind? They were all on FM.

Hi,
these stations were heard here in the Czech
Republic for the first time on DEC 8, 1998.
Later we found out (thanks also to Roger Caird from
Dublin) that these transmissions originate in Ireland. The church services are
broadcast in the CB for people that cannot go to church.
Transmissions are on the air mainly on Saturdays
and Sundays, at some places also morning and evening masses are
relayed during working days.
In Dublin there is almost 20
frequencies occupied by church services, all are in FM but one (27335
MHz) which is in AM.
It seems not only live relays are on the air - what
was heard here was a "normal" radio religious broadcast. At the same time
there were 10 active frequencies heard with 2-3 various programs.
GOOD CB DX :-)
