Bands are hot these days. 
Note there is even more major flaring occuring today.

Question for the propagation gurus out there,
I am hearing locally on 15 meters the last few mornings 0730 local time ,
very good amateur radio signals from Australia, which is 2230 in the evening over there,
My question is, via what path is this, short or long ?

the VK operator at the other ends claims it is the short path which takes it through a near complete path of darkness 
over North America and the Pacific, 
His beam antenna is heading via the shortg path.

This morning I made contact  with a station near Sydney , from my mobile running low power at 10 watts, 
if this is the long path, than this is truly outstanding.

Typical short path to "down under" at least at 21 Mhz is more like 2200-0300 UT, or my early evening local time.
Comments anyone ?
