[HCDX]: 13 meter ramblings round midnight and different transmitter for Hanoi



Brief summary of signals hear somewhere between midnight and about 1
a.m. [local time], or 0735 to 0809 UTC on 8 April 2000:

21505 probably Riyadh, based on feedback from other listeners so far

21750  probably Swiss Radio International

21735.004 UAE

21725.000 R. Australia

21714.953 Voice of Turkey

21670 ?? at 0759Z

21570 male in Japanese

21610.011 R. Exterior Espana

21705.000 possibly VOA in Udorn, Thailand

21830.000 -113 dBm possibly Portugal

Other signals of interest:


11785.000 V. of Indonesia -100 dBm SINPO 33333 female in English; best
in USB [around 0810 UTC]

This morning [local]

5924.549 KHz -90 dBm SINPO 45444 Voice of Vietnam [Hanoi] pop music;
female announcer in Vietnamese down to -100 dBm by 1509Z
Note: This must be a back-up transmitter. They have recently been
sitting on 5924.999 plus/minus 1 Hz.

            Yes, I heard (but did not log) many of those stations you
mentioned.  21MHz was quite good last night.  I imagine 17MHz was also
though I didn't check it out.  I just happened to be on 21MHz because I
was
troubleshooting a Computer RFI problem that was worst on that band.  The
signals were not strong, but the band was so quiet they were all quite
good.
