I am quite shocked by the huge signal from Radio
Nationaal on 1035! It is very strong (s-5) at 1115 UTC, although the
transmittersite in Echt is 180 km to the south/southwest from my location in
Breedenbroek in the east. I think 1035 has a strong northern directional
antenna.
I totally agree with the comments of Rene van Hoof in an earlier HCDX-message about no audience in Holland for a MW-station, most Dutch listen to FM only. Recent research revealed that only the 50+ still listen to MW for programmes, although the majority of them has already switched to FM. As Radio Nationaal is a commercial operation it might disappear soon(too few listeners means too few commercials) or try to switch to FM. Let's hope it as I always enjoyed the strong signal of Northsound here!! Julius hermans |
