[HCDX]: Aurora level statistic

G'Day from Oz,

Could someone please explain the new statistic in Geomagnetic indicies of
'Aurora Level'. What are the readings -7, -5, -6 meaning and against what
scale ? I first saw it in the IRCA's AM DX News Flash posted on this list.
