The Australian Government last night announced a
new funding injection into Radio Australia over the next three years of some
AUD$9 mil which will add an extra 5 hours of daily broadcast to their schedule.
The managing director of the ABC said they would buy more time on the Taiwanese
facility to allow a better siganl into Indonesia. The MD also said RA would be
looking to add Korean to its language line up due to changes in the Korea
peninsula situation.
