7231.1 RRI Fak Fak. 0950-1010 Jul 15, M&W in Indo. with pop mx prgm,
ID ToH, into long talk by man (not Jakarta nx). Also hrd
0924-1010 Jul 16 with pop mx prgm that sounded like a series
          of ballads, ID ToH, SCI.
          (Jul 15 & 16, 2000, Don Nelson-WA via Numero Uno No.1588)

9540 Unknown RRI regional. noted Jul 23-25 during local daytimes.
Breaks noted at approx. 0220-0545, but still on when KTWR
swamped the channel after 0900. IDs as "RRI [location] Programa
Satu," but unfortunately I'm not sure of the location. It
sounds like it begins with S and ends with A. Sibolga has been
rptd recently on 5030, although my impression is that the ID on
9540 may have too many syllables to be that, but it's hard to
tell as the anmts are very rapid and the audio was somewhat
distorted. Time anmts are in Western Indonesian Time (UTC+7).
Apparently off air morning of Jul 26. I've not been able to
hear an Indonesian on 5030 under co-channel Kuching; maybe
this is a new xmtr testing intermittently.
         (Jul 23-25, 2000, Alan Davies-Malaysia via Numeri Uno No.1589)

DX NEWS----------------------------------------------------------------

The ending music of Jakarta news was changed again from "Bagimu Negri".
This change is presumed for Independence Day of Indonesia.

I went to Bonto Sunggu transmitter site, south of Makassar. I have ever
found the article in EDXP that Marconi brand transmitter in Bonto
Sunggu for RRI Jakarta Programa Nasional was moved to Cimagiss
transmitter site in Jakarta. But I confirmed it was still at Bonto
Sunggu.Unfortunately it was inactive due to some trouble. Kepala
Transmitter at Bonto Sunggu said to me that there was no plan of
its reactivation because it was very difficult to get spair materials
of transmitter. In addition, he said the transmitter of Marconi brand
was weak for hot area like as Makassar
(Really Makassar is more hot place than Jakarta).

I received QSL from RRI Tanjungkarang.(see QSL information) I have
thought the official name as RRI Bandar Lampung. But is this mistake??
We must pick up full-ID. But in Japan, it is very difficult to confirm
now due to interference. Please help and give me some information.

QSL INFORMATION--------------------------------------------------------

RRI Tanjunkarang 3395kHz: full data card in 56days for an Indonesian
report and $1. V/s Drs. Soewadji, Kepala Seksi Siaran. Station name
was stamped as Tanjungkarang not Bandar Lampung. Also the letters of
Directorat Radio not Directorat Jendral Radio were stamped so I
presume the officail station name is RRI Tanjungkarang.
  (Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)

RRI Biak 6154kHz: partial data letter in 19days for an Indonesian
report and $1. V/s Butje Latuperissa, Kepala Seksi Siaran.
  (Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)

RRI Jayapura 6069.8kHz: no data letter in Engliah in 184days for an
Indonesian report and $1. V/s Hartono, Bidang Teknik who had ever
  stayed in Japan.
  (Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)

RRI Biak 6154.5kHz: P/d (date only) letter from v/s Drs. D. A.
Siahainenia in 2 months for an Indonesian report, ms (not used) and
a NYC postcard. (George Maroti via Cumbre DX No.304)

RRI Gorontalo 3264.6kHz: Although the ppc indicates verification, per
Nick Grace in Indonesia the ltr says: "After listening to the
recording that you sent we are not confident that you really heard
our broadcast. There are some differences with the program we aired.
Nevertheless, we are sure that you indeed heard a station within
the RRI network. Beyond this, we would like to thank you for letter
and for sending the two beautiful postcards."
(Don Nelson-OR via Numero Uno No.1588)

RRI Ujung Pandang/Makassar 4753kHz: Received the station's own plain
F/D card, with text in Indonesian and English, 8 weeks after a
registered f/up sent from Hungary for a December 1997 reception.
The card lists both station names of Makassar and Ujung Pandang.
Although I mailed my report to PO Box 103, the return address was
RRI Makassar, Jl. Riburane No. 3, Makassar, Indonesia. The v/s
  appears to be Mukidi.
(George Maroti via Cumbre DX No.306)
