this is from a co-worker who observes Ramadan:

"I checked around here [Vancouver] with a friend of  mine.  The tenative date is
for Friday 1 December for Ramadhan.Obviously, the full moon sighting has to do
with it all.  But, this will only affect it by one day.plus or minus the day of
December  1."
