[HCDX] Fantastic MW CX / K9AY Antenna
What a fantastic TP morning! The morning on 9/12 was unbelieveable using
the K9AY antenna. There were signals on almost every splits, Filipinos,
JJs, CC, etc, you name it.
531 1XP1 NZ, Auckland, fair in jumble w, filipino, JJ, etc, Samoan
mx at 1334 UTC 9/12 (PM-OR)
531 JOQG JAPAN, Morioka, good at times o/others with man in JJ at
1335 UNC 9/12. (PM-OR)
531 UNID PHILIPPINES, Filipino here in and out of mess at 1335
9/12. (PM-OR)
540 2AP WESTERN SAMOA, Apia, presume the source of the Island mx
and man in Samoan buried in jumble at 1325 9/12. Is 2AP now 24 hours? I
don't hear 747 anymore. (PM-OR)
540 1XC/2XV NEW ZEALAND, Tauranga/New Plymouth, with Radio Rhema ID
at 1300 9/12. Into soft Christian mx, faded o/ Aussie (PM-OR)
540 4QL AUSTRALIA, Longreach, heard w/ABC News o/u Radio Rhema at
1301 9/12 (PM-OR)
540 UNID PHILIPPINES, Filipino talk at 1330 9/12 in jumble (PM-OR)
549 2XC NEW ZEALAND, Radio Rhema , fair //540 with soft mx at 1302
9/12 (PM-OR)
550 KMVI HI, Wailuku, not as good as other Hawaiians this morning,
mostly buried u/KOAC, which is wierd, normally KMVI is dominant with
KMVI ID at 1200 9/12 (PM-OR)
558 JOCR JAPAN, Kobe good with JJ Pops and m & f ancrs , o/DZXL at
1345 9/12. (PM-OR)
558 DZXL PHILIPPINES, Metro Manila, good on top briefly with man in
Tagalog and EE , mentioning "DZXL" at 1350 9/12. First time heard this

558 UNIDS, A real mess here u/JJ and Filipino of several stations at
1351 9/12 (PM-OR)
567 JOIK JAPAN, Sapporo, good w/JJ talk at 1345 9/12, others
underneath. (PM-OR)
570 KQNG HI, Lihue, good on top of KVI w/ a promo mentioning "KONG"
at 1314 9/12 (PM-OR)
576 UNID PHILIPPINES, weak Tagalog talk at 1315 9/12. (PM-OR)
585 JOPG JAPAN, Kusriro, JJ talk at 1345 9/12 (PM-OR)
594 JOAK JAPAN, Tokyo JJ talk at 1345 9/12 in passing (PM-OR)
603 UNIDS Another jumble here of a "Graveyard" type of channel,
someone off channel, so very hard to ID anything, but the jumble was
about S9+!!! At 1351 9/12 (PM-OR)
612 4QR AUSTRALIA, Brisbane, about the strongest DU of the morning,
very strong at 1324 9/12 with discussion pgm, about S9+15 DB! (PM-OR)
620 KIPA HAWAII, Hilo, totally blowing anything else away on the
channel. The best I have heard them in a long time, noted at 1337 9/12
at S9+20+DB. (PM-OR)
621 UNID Het here, but unable to hear much 1338 9/12 (PM-OR)
630 4QN AUSTRALIA, Townsville, good on top with ABC news at 1302
9/12. Talk on the Olympics in Sydney. (PM-OR)
630 UNID PHILIPPINES, Tagalong talk way behind 4QN at 1303. Checked
later but unable to hear again, Apparently DZMM, as the only one listed.

645.4 UNID A Strong het heremost of the morning. At one point around
1330 9/12, it sounded like weak talk under the carrier, maybe a

711 UNIDS Several stations here in 710 splah at 1344 9/12 (PM-OR)
720 DYOK? PHILIPPINES, Iloilo City, I think I heard the ancr in
filipino say "DYOK" at 1333 9/12 in passing. KFIR QRM (PM-OR)
729 UNID several stations here at 1328 9/12. Het on channel making it
hard to identify. Someone off channel, prob a filipino. (PM-OR)
738 TAHITI, unbelieveable signal at 1315 9/12 with man & woman in FF

940 KJPN HAWAII, Waipahu, unbelieveable signal!!! This station with
beautful JJ Pop mx was total wiping out KWBY, and anything else on the
channel. I have never heard them this strong. JJ man "K-JPN" At 1410

1053 SOUTH KOREA, Jammer here "Loud" at 1405 9/12. (PM-OR)
1062 DZEC PHILIPPINES, Quezon City, very good. This one is about the
strongest Filipino I get these days. With woman talking to caller "DZEC"
mentioned by woman talking at 1352 9/12. (PM-OR)
1071 UNID here at 1411 9/12 (PM-OR)
1089 UNID, Het on sloppy 1090 at 1413 9/12 (PM-OR)
1098 UNID, station in US EE, no accent at several checks between
1301-415 UTC 9/12. (PM-OR)
1143 VOA PHILIPPINES, Poro good in 1150-KRSB splash with chirdren
singing and VOA ID at 1400 9/12 in passing , into nx, but didn't stick
around as it was "TP overload" this morning. (PM-OR)

1161 MALAYSIA? Poss the one w/strange mx at 1340 9/12. Unneeded, but
maybe this will be a good season. (PM-OR)

Instead of typing UNIds all the way up the dial as I didn't have the
time to check out every channel, I'll skip ahead. It was unbelieveable.
This K9AY antenna is something else!

1683 AUSTRALIA, Radio Club, fair in growl on channel at 1411 9/12
