[HCDX] February Shortwave News
The February edition of International Listener's "Shortwave News" has now
been uploaded, and it's the biggest and best we've ever compiled.
There are no fewer than 32 news items this issue: the VOA eliminates jobs,
and the "Save the VOA" faction responds...RTE Ireland marks 75 years in a big
way...the BBC gets back into China...China buys some Texas-size transmitters,
and All India Radio buys a few new ones, too...opposition to the BBC's web
advertising plan...digital shortwave tests...Art Bell returns (an interview
by his webmaster)...new shortwave signals in Eritrea, Lithuania and
elsewhere...an interview with a colleague from Angola National Radio...more
difficulties for the Isle of Man longwave project...a possible shortwave
threat...a Radio Netherlands anniversary and web expansion...web site hackers
and webcaster royalties...plus items about Radio Sweden, WWV, KNLS, some DX
gatherings, shortwave transmission problems, RTTY experiments, a fire, a new
EDXP publication, an e-list merger and more...
Thanks for your input, and for checking it out.
