[HCDX] Re: Rumbos on 670

Hello !

Radio Rumbos should be hard-to-hear in Europe, due to Radio 10 Gold-675 splatter, but
anyway, here is the question: Did anbody in Europe have ever heard venezuelan Radio
Rumbos on 670 kHz ? It verry often heard here, especially in fall and winter (now at
spring it is nearly impossible, due to extended day-light hours !), in Canada, in the
Montreal region, but what is about Europe ? I have heard that in any corner of the
world, they were reliably on 4970 kHz 60 mtrs tropical band until it goes inactive
around 1993 or so. Since, they left 4970, is it still possible to hear them on MW-670
Caracas, from Europe ? Here in eastern North America, it`s after RCR-750, the most
reliable venezuelan signal ?

Also what YV means ? Why venezuelan call-signs always begun with YV (YVLL, YVKS, YVQO,
YVQB, YVNM, YVMN, YVOD, YVKE, etc... and all the others ? CM in cuban calls means cuba
(CMCH means cuban Cadena Habana) and HR means Honduras, but what YV really means ?
