BURMA 4725, 1438-1504, R. Myanmar Nov 3 Female ancr in unid. SE Asian
language. Change to EG at 1447, with mentions of 'Overseas Distance
Learning...educational module...'. Lesson continued in EG, with grammar
questions and EG examples ('Look! smoke is coming from the dragon.') No

INDIA 3315, 1510-1513, AIR Bhopal Nov 3 Presumed this with Hindi film music
with male/female duet and flutes. Poor. (ATKINS-WA)

INDIA 3365, 1307-1315, AIR Delhi Nov 4 Sub-cont. female Hindi vocals and
flute music mixing with C&W music and EG talk on co-channel R. Milne Bay
(parallel 4890). Best on southwest Beverage, suggesting skewed path
reception. Delhi faded by 1313, leaving Milne Bay alone on the frequency.

in Hindi. Very good signal, but competing with sweeper ute. Parallel 4800.

INDIA 4820, 1520-1521, AIR Kolkata Nov 3 Female ancr in Hindi with world
news items, parallel 4800 Hyderabad. Good signal. Also heard 11/4 with
excellent S9+10db signal of Hindi film music and anmt. or advertisement,
then EG ID 'This is Radio Kolkata, here is a bulletin of news', followed by
Kolkata weather report, and schedule of upcoming programs. Best on southwest
Beverage antenna. A stern warning against accepting baggage from unknown
persons at train terminals or airports heard at 1329, then another ID and 3
TPs at 1330  before news in Hindi. (ATKINS-WA)

INDIA 4840, 1523-1524, AIR Mumbai Nov 3 World news read by woman in Hindi;
parallel 4800 Hyderabad. Fair, with some co-channel ute. Also noted 11/4 at
1337 with a good signal. (ATKINS-WA)

INDIA 4850, 1525-1526, AIR Kohima Nov 3 Hindi world newes noted very faintly
under strong CC station, but ID'd by parallel 4800 content. Also heard 11/4
at 1338 with a weak signal. (ATKINS-WA)

and female reporters. Parallel 4800 Hyderabad and other AIR outlets.

INDIA 4940, 1346-1402, AIR Guwahati Nov 4 Presumed Guwahati with tabla and
Hindi vocals at tune-in, then male ancr in Hindi. Fair level. Continuous
sub-cont. music very weak in background from a co-channel station... SLBC
Colombo-Ekala? Background station faded by 1358. TPs 1400, then presumed

Hindi, but noted parallel 4800 Hyderabad and other AIR frequencies. Also

INDIA 4990, 1536-1538, AIR Itanagar Nov 3 EG ancr with news items of
Afghanistan fighting; parallel 4800 and other AIR frequencies. Fair, beneath
CC station. Better reception noted 11/4 at 1404 with Itanagar dominating

INDIA 5040, 1538-1539, AIR Jeypore Nov 3 World news in EG, read by male
ancr., parallel to 4800 Hyderabad and other outlets. Fair. (ATKINS-WA)

INDONESIA 3325, 1432-1436, RRI Palangkaraya Nov 3 Male and female ancrs with
possible educational or teaching program for children. Mentions of
Palangkaraya and Indonesia and brief music interludes. Excellent level.

male announcer. Fair signal strength but buried under strong sweeper ute.

MALAYSIA 4895, 1227-1232, RTM Kuching Nov 3 Pop music to 1229 mentions of
Malaysia by woman in pres. Iban; two TPs 1230 and RTM ID. Into

MALAYSIA 5030, 1037-1048, RTM Kuching Nov 3 Female ancr in pres. Bidayuh to
1035 'RTM Kuching' ID. Reggae tune 1035. Very good level initially but
growing even stronger at 1047. (ATKINS-WA)

NEW ZEALAND 3935, 0844-0849, ZLXA Levin Nov 4 Very poor signal of
Kiwi-accented ancr in EG with reading of article or book; poss. mention of
'Solomon Islands' and 'economy'. It's been years since I've heard ZLXA at

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 2410, 0955-1004, R. Enga Nov 3 Male ancr in Pidgin. Weak
and very noisy signal; no other details could be noted. Presumed.

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 2410, 0806-0809, R. Enga Nov 4 Faint audio noted on
dual-wire Western Beverage only; just a weak het detected via the equal
length, single-wire Beverage antenna. Hearing anything at all on 2410 is
interesting at this time, since 0806 is 1/2 hr. prior to Wabag SS.
