3214.8  RRI Manado. At 1028 telephone conversations and local
pops. Local news

entitled "Warta Berita" was heard at 1100. Poor.

(Jan 26, 2002, Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)
3325    RRI Palangkaraya. Has been touching a solid S9
on my HF225 with the 90m
            inverted
Vee tied at the feeder point to a coconut palm at 50 feet on Dua
            puloh
January from about 1420 until s.off at 1500 with Love Ambon. This
            Sunday
evening they have been playing some beautiful music, vocals, mainly

Indonesian versions of The Old Rugged Cross and similar. Absolutely
dreamy
            music,
a fusion of the East and West. I lost power at 1400, so hooked my old
            car
battery and I got stuck on 3325 kHz. It is all dark in the house with some
            moonlight
filtering through the lace curtains that my xyl has put on the
            window.
Looking at the digital readout and dimly lit S-metre, does something
            to me
listening to Indionesians. I know it is the same with many of us, cross

cultures, continents and all.
            (Jan 20,
2002, G. Victor A. Goonetilleke, SRI LANKA)
3344.8  RRI Ternate. Closing announcement with Love Ambon and
closed down at

1359. Fair.

(Jan 24, 2002, Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)
3960    RRI Palu. Off at 1533 after LA, but the music
is not that great compared to

 Palangkaraya.
            (Jan 20,
2002, G. Victor A. Goonetilleke, SRI LANKA)
3976.1  RRI Pontianak. At 1405 local news. The ending music was
"Bagimu Negri"

which was different style of the ending of Jakarta news.Suddenly
signed

off at 1531 without Love Ambon. Fair.

(Jan 24,  2002, Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)
4925.0  RRI Jambi. Reactivated. Heard at 1427 with local pops,
SCI, Jakarta news

relay, and local ID. Fair.

(Jan 30, 2002, Juichi Yamada, JAPAN)
7171.4   RRI Serui. Heard at 0910 with lagu Qasidah,
reading of Holy Koran, at 0930

local news or regional news from Jayapura (not confirmed), local pops.

Best signal at 0920. Still heard at 1100. Poor.
