INDIA 3223, 1323-1329, AIR Shimla Apr 5 Hindi talk by male announcer and
tabla music. Possible ID after pause at 13:29:50. Weak signal, but slowly
strengthening. Geoclock & ERGO map show textbook-perfect grayline condition
between Shimla and Bonney Lake at this time. (ATKINS-WA)

INDIA 4760, 1340-1350, AIR Port Blair Apr 5 Presumed, with exotic woodwinds
and male/female vocals in Hindi. Good signal at local SR. (ATKINS-WA)

INDIA 4775, 1350-1353, AIR Imphal Apr 5 Male announcer in Hindi with
mentions of various Indian cities. Good level beneath strong sweeper ute.
Jaipur 4910, Hyderabad 4800, Mumbai 4840, Kohima 4850, 4920 Chennai, and
4940 Gauhati also noted during a brief 60m bandscan. (ATKINS-WA)

INDONESIA 3325, 1442-, RRI Palangkaraya Apr 6 I was surprised to hear
English on 3325 at this time, but it was the last three minutes of an EG
lesson. Change of announcers at 1445, mentions of Palangkaraya, and into
lagu melayu with female vocals. Fair level at tune-in, and equal signal on
K9AY and Carolina Beam. However, by 1450 the signal improved to fair-good on
the Carolina Beam, and dropped to very poor on the K9AY! 1450 UTC is 1+
hours past local SR. Evidently Palangkaraya's arrival angle was dropping, as
the C.Bm. shines with low-angle DX signals. (ATKINS-WA)

INDONESIA 4000.1, 1025-1040, RRI Kendari Mar 31 Good ol' fashioned gamelan
music, such as used to be very common on the Indo frequencies. Male
announcer with discussion of sorts 1130, with mentions of Indonesia. CC
station beginning to interfere a bit at 1040. Fair-good. (ATKINS-WA)

INDONESIA 4003.2, 1455-1501, RRI Padang Apr 6 Faint signal of lagu hiburan
or other soft music style at 1455. Announcer in Indonesian at 1458-1500, but
too weak for ID; was not parallel to 3976 Pontianak at TOH. QRM from MARS
communications net on 4003.5. Presumed. (ATKINS-WA)

SINGAPORE 6150, 1510-1521, R. Singapore Apr 6 Ads for a breakfast cafe ('the
best morning feast, bar none') and a Mel Gibson movie at 1510. Jazzy jingles
to 'the best sounds on Radio Five, all around Singapore' at 1512. Into femal
R&B vocals 1513. Male announcer with quick 'Radio Five FM' at 1521.
Excellent signal. (ATKINS-WA)

SOUTH AFRICA 11720, 1432-1442, Channel Africa Apr 6 Discussion in EG between
three announcers about South African politics and the work force. Fair.
(ATKINS-WA)

UNIDENTIFIED 4883, 1513-1521, Unid. Apr 7 A very weak signal noted here,
with talk by male announcer; brief brass-band musical selections. Female
announcer heard at 1518; language may have been from one of the Eastern
European countries, or possibly Russian. A search of HCDX archives indicate
that China Radio Intl. has been heard in RR on 4883, so possibly them.
