Hey guys and gals,

I bought an R30 about a month ago and blows my beloved 2010 out of
the water. I called Paul at Palstar and he was glad to disscuss his
radio with me.
He also told me that Murata has STOPPED making filters for radios, or
at least the high quality ones he uses. So in six months all R30s
will ship with 2 collins filters. This will drive the price up to
$650. He said (on July 1) that he still had 95 of the Murata radios
for $495. When I asked him about getting Collins in the one I was
going to buy, he said that I would never be able to tell the
difference and to stick with Murata. So that is what I bought and
LOVE this radio. Built like a brick shit house. And you do not need
a Synch on this, at least I have not had to use it. Any ?s e-mail me
.
