Here are some logs from the November
23/November 24 huge caribbean opening. I'm not even reporting the
"regular ones" wich I was hearing every night this week, like RVC-530, Cuba-1180
and 60 et al, but instead reporting mostly the rare and new stuf, like
Radio Reloj-570 seldom heard due to WSYR and the new jamaican and cuban
stations as well as LOCAL-like receptions of Guadeloupe-640; here are the
logs:

of carribbean EE talk; very poor (Chiochiu-QC).
570 CUBA, CMDC, Radio Reloj, Pilon, NOV 24 0506 -
News report about a cuban event to be hold on November 27, then RR code ID. Fair

580 JAMAICA, RJR Galina, NOV 24 0440 - reggea
music, no ID yet so presumed (Chiochiu-QC)
580 DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, NOV 24 0517 -
tentative; briefly surfaced with meringue music (Chiochiu-QC)
640 GUADELOUPE, Radio Guadeloupe, Pointe-à-Pitre,
NOV 24 0155 - french futboll commentaries (the last minutes of a futboll match,
talk about improvements on local teams, etc...). Interview beetwen a
Paris-accented and a creole accented speakers; mention of Radio Guadeloupe at
0158 and UTC-4 time check "ving-et-une heure cinquante-huit", then a DJ sayed
they would relay France Info for "La Semaine Internationale" program by 22:00
(0200 UTC), then introduced into an english soca song. At 0200, France Info
jingle then into nx reports about heavy rain, inondations and thunder-storms in
the south-east of France. Excellent level at tune-in, but faded-down to only
fair at 0159, with Cuba fading up in strenght. Also picked to very strong
level at 0633 and 0716 (UTC) as well ! (Chiochiu-QC)
660 CUBA, CMHG Radio Progreso, Santa Clara, NOV 24
0513 - good over WFAN with old cuban instrumental music. Peaked over WFAN again
around 0533 again with cuban vocals, //640 and 890. New!

760 COLOMBIA, HJAJ, RCN Baranquilla, NOV 24 0523 -
news discussion beetwen a man and a woman; poor signal. They used to be
strong and regulars in the past.
They must use lower power these days

1070 unID SS, NOV 24 0518 - briefly in with spanish
music. I logged YVMA along with HJMG here the past fall.
