 Hello !
It seems like I have to wait until local sunset to
get CKEC again, along with other longer-haul eastern signals such as
St.-Pierre-1375 (previously IDed and a fairly regular back in the fall of 2001,
very poor and only once heard this season). It very briefly peaked to excellent,
but now it is barely there with a very weak signal. CJMR in Missisauga also in
occasionally duirng this day-time opening. A poor GY was noted on 1400, no
attempt to identify it though. Tryed for Saudi-1521, but only local noise along
with an extremely weak WWKB signal (but they are very good
to excellent - local-like almost - after dark). The eastern and
southern stations were the best. Western stations were very poor with the most
distant log being CJMR with Middle-Eastern music at 0244 at a fair to poor
level, before being lost to Avril Lavigne - Complicated wich was played on CKEC
wich also faded down very considerably. There are still in right now, but
extremly poor.
73 and good DX,
