[HCDX] DX Assistance

I picked up an unknown AM station on 16795 kHz, broadcasting music for the past several hours. An english-language segment was aired from 1800-1859 UTC August 10th. It had a strong carrier, but frequently poor audio prevented my comprehending a program or station identifier. I can't find any reference to a broadcaster on this frequency... or even in this band. I just lost the station (2000 UTC). 

Any suggestions who I was listening to or why I got them on this (maritime) freq?
