5975 BBC 0400-0412 Long news segment on the deficiencies of the
resigned President of Bolivia. "President Sanchez de Lozada .... seen as
out of touch with the poverty stricken Indian population. The US
....educated millionaire mining magnate...... speaks Spanish with an
US accent, is nicknamed 'gringo'. "
Doubt if President Sanchez de Lozada will be making his yearly
contribution to the British Broadcasting Corporation. rw

4600.3 Radio Perla del Acre, Cobija 1000-1030 off the air?

4650.28 Radio Santa Ana, Santa Ana de Yacuma 1030-45 om en espanol,
poor signal but not often heard during this time period. Also noted
4681.80 Radio Paititi, Guayamerin and 4796.65 Radio Mallku, Uyuni
1000-1020 both with good signals [Wilkner-FL]
4876v. Radio La Cruz del Sur, La Paz 1000 - 1020 off the air? This one
almost always here 1000 + [Wilkner-FL]
5927.11 Radiodif Mineria, Oruro 1030-1045 om, with rather weak
signal. Usually only noted from 2300 to 0100v. [Wilkner-FL]
5952.44 Radioemis. Pio XII, Siglo Veinte 1000-1045, om news items in
hyper Spanish, usual good signal. Seemed to remain on, or return to the
air quickly, during the crisis, tnx Anker Petersen tip [Wilkner-FL]
