Hi everyone,

Another interesting morning. More Chinese and DUs, but only a couple
weak filipinos. I did hear Thailand on 891 fairly good. The first time
this Fall. Outback Radio on 585 was armchair copy part of the time with
usual pop music. A bit different than it has been.

531     JAPAN, Morioka JOQG, good on top with JJ talk at 1405 9/21

531    NEW ZEALAND, Auckland, 1XPI, at 1416 9/21. JOQG was pretty much
buried by 1XPI with Samoan programming. (PM-OR)

558    JAPAN, Kobe JOCR fair in jumble at 1408 9/21, JJ pops and female

576      AUSTRALIA, Sydney 2RN, Good with ABC News at 1400 9/21 (PM-OR)
585      AUSTRALIA, Bourke 2WEB, good with US pop music and ID at 1415
"Outback Radio`,2WEB" into more pops. Quite strong. 9/21. This one get

594     JAPAN, Tokyo JOAK strong as usual with NHK 1 programming, JJ
talk noted in passing many times 9/21. (PM-OR)
603    REP. OF KOREA, Seoul, KBS 2, woman with KK talk at 1416 9/21.

612    AUSTRALIA, Brisbane 4QR, good with ABC News at 1401 9/21 (PM-OR)
t621   AUSTRALIA, Melbourne 3RN, may have been the source of the
Classical music at 1420 9/21. All alone, and 4QR 612 was quite strong.

ABC News at 1402 in passing 9/21 (PM-OR)
639    UNIDs, a garbled mess of a lot of stations at 1405 9/21 (PM-OR)
648    UNID, weak signal here in passing at 1411 9/21 (PM-OR)
657    DEM REP OF KOREA, usual Northern KK sound in passing several
times morning on 9/21. (PM-OR)
666    JAPAN, Osaka  JOBK, good in JJ at 1412 9/21 (PM-OR)
693    JAPAN, Tokyo JOAB, good with news in EE at 1402 9/21 (PM-OR)
729    UNID, odd sounding language in jumble here at 1422 9/21, but too
weak to ID.   (PM-OR)
738    TAIWAN, BEL2, good //1143 with gal in Cantonese type language at
1421 9/21 (PM-OR)
747    JAPAN, Sapporo JOIB very strong as usual with NHK News in EE at
1404 9/21 (PM-OR)
774    JAPAN, Akita 1404 9/21 //747 (PM-OR)
882    UNID, loud carrier off freq here causing quite a noise. I know
DWIZ was off freq for years, noted 10+ years ago, but this seemed to
strong, especially with no filipinos coming in. Noted all morning 9/21

891     THAILAND, Sarabuni, Radio Thailand here in Thai and woman
talking. This stands out and is easily IDed. Their 1000 KW gets out well
in the Fall here. This is a lot different than the pop music I hear off
satellite from FM 94 Bangkok! That sounds more like US programming, the
Backstreet Boys in Thai. hi. 891 is old sounding Thai stuff much like
they sounded like on 830 khz in the 60s. (PM-OR)
