BOLIVIA 4762.49 R. Chicha (pres.) 2324 Nx pgm w/studio M anncr tlking
w/M on phone at t/in. Report by W at 2328. 2329 very short instru.
signature. Mx bridge at exactly BoH followed by M anncr but couldn't catch
an ID. Tlk by different M. When it peaked at 2335 briefly, it sounded very
much like it was in GM!! Do they relay multi-lingual nx pgms?? Nasty
carrier popped on at 2339-2343. Fanfare at 2355 then immediately into LA
Debbie Reynolds-like song. Another song and suddenly off in mid-song at
exactly 2357. Almost good enough to copy but still think the best bet is a
micro-DXpedition. Will keep trying. Noisy w/CODAR QRM of course. (8 Oct.)
PERU 5939.29 R. Melodia 2335-2343 Apparent political speech by M w/ment
of el mundo, democratia, etc. W and M in discussion after 2343. Canned
automated ID anmnt by W over the discussion at 2345, 2348, 2353. ID by W as
"Melodia la noticias" at 2357. Still going w/nx pgm past 0010. Dropped
down after 0000, but still best heard in a while. (10-11 Oct.)
PERU 5470.75 R. San Nicolas (pres.) 0030 LA Pop mx w/wailing vcls, short
canned anmnt by M w/heavy echo over song, 0032-0035 ballad that sounded very
much like "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. More mx. 0047
anmnts by M but imposs. to copy. Too fady and too much noise. (13 Oct.)
PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3355 R. Simbu 1055 mx at t/in. Came back later and
found W anncr in PD w/pgm feature and long tlk from 1126-1133, then M anncr
w/pgm outro giving addr over choral mx. 1134 National Broadcasting
Commission promo by M over mx, then next pgm. Getting some awful local QRM.
1143-1158 audio much too low. 1158-1200 studio W anncr, then into mx at
1200. Went to at least 1204. Glad to see this one return. (13 Oct.)
AUSTRALIA 9680 R.A. While listening to this on the Bedfordshire UK
Ten-Tec RX320D Web receiver in the 1000 hour, found there was about a 5
second difference between the reception here and the Web receiver. Guess
most of the delay would be in the streaming audio. (13 Oct.)
