announcements. African tribal music at 0432. Weak. Signal  usually

** ETHIOPIA. 7110, Radio Ethiopia, *0259-0310, Dec 27, sign on 
with IS  on electronic keyboard. Opening announcements in Amharic.
Chimes at 0300  & talk. Instrumental music at 0302. Good. Threshold
signal on // 9704.18.  Good reception from both frequencies at 0420

** MALI. 5995, RTVM, 2335-0002*, Dec 26-27, rustic tribal  vocals.
French/vernacular announcements. Sign off with National  Anthem.

** ZANZIBAR. 11735, Radio Tanzania-Zanzibar, 1800-1810, Dec 26,
English  news to 1808. “Spice FM” IDs. Swahili talk at 1808. Local 
music at 1809.  Fair signal. Audio sounded better but still with a slight
