[DX] Vietnam 1242 kHz
Allaoleva on poimittu WWDXC Top Newsista (22.05.2001).
Olisikohan nyt jo perusteita antaa esim. 1242 taajuuden vietnamilaisesta
Etelä-Vietnamin maapiste niille joille ei sitä ennen Vietnamin yhdistymistä
ollut? Tietääkseni sitä ei tähän mennessä ole annettu, koska aseman
sijainnista ei ole ollut varmaa tietoa.

"VIETNAM A research of press reports together with recent monitoring has
revealed extensive details of the highpowered Vietnamese MW txs that went
on the air in the late '90s.

3) SoVTN (Nam Bo area): The new stn is located at the Thoi Long hamlet,
near O Mon town, some distance to the nortwest of Can Tho city, Can Tho
province. The stn uses the freqs of 711 (VOV1), 783 (VOV2), 873 (VOV3) and
1242 (VOV6). It was equipped with three txs of 500 kW each and two 1000
txs used in \\ to form one 2000 kW tx. It is presumed that 1242 is the
home of the 2000 kW unit. The Thoi long txs were made by Harris. The
antenna towers range from 90 to 135 m. The VOV3 progr aired on 873 is a
special version for the Mekong delta area and includes newscasts in En, Fr
and Ru as well as a minority lang sce in Southern Khmer. VOV6 is the ext
sce. The stn started txions on 10 July 1997.
