[DX] Kartta

leikkasin newsseistä tällaisen tiedon. Ehkäpä jotakuta kiinnostaa ko.
kartta. Muutenkin ko. lehdessä on ollut usein hyviä karttaliitteitä. Jo
Kevon 70-luvun pediksillä niitä hyödynsimme (Kevon kirjastossa oli monta
vuosikertaa arkistoituna).

I subscribe to National Geographic magazine, and just got
the March issue. To my surprise, they had a great map of the West
Indies inside. It covers, in good detail, everything from the
southern tip of Florida, all of Cuba, and the Bahama's in the
northwest corner of the map, a little bit of the coastal regions of
Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica in the southwest corner of the
map. On the souther part of the map you get to see the northernmost
regions of Colombia and Venezuela, and the central and western parts
of the map show all of the Caribbean Islands, from Haiti to Barbados
and Trinidad and Tobago to the east. All major towns and cities are
marked, and of course, the maps are very accurate.

I've already hung this map on my wall, and it is a great resource for
tracking down locations of stations you are DXing in the area. It's
a nice size too, about 3 feet wide and 2 feet tall. I'd recommend
picking up a copy of the March 2003 National Geographic magazine if
you see it in a local store, just for this valuable map alone! It
really is a great tool for finding those towns and seeing where a
station
broadcasts from. There's probably a good chance that one of your
friends or relatives already subscribes to this magazine... if so, see
if you
can get your hands on the map!
